The Day Use Area below the dam is a peaceful, scenic place to picnic with grills, tables, (one is accessible), rest rooms and, in 2006, a new playground was installed. There are open grassy areas for playing and the river nearby. Fishing is a popular activity in this area.
Limited hiking is available around Charles Mill Dam. Take some short trails to get a better view of the lake and to take in some sights. When you're done, hang out at the picnic area and relax!
Charles Mill Lake is located on the Black Fork of the Mohican River. The Dam is located approximately 3 miles east of I-71. At I-71 take US 30 east almost 1 mile to State Route 603. Then take State Route 603 south about 2 miles to dam.<br /><br />40.770532, -82.373174
